The proposed contract dishonors NYC Teachers by:
* Adding an extra 6-7 days! (Add up all the extra days and minutes)
* Not even a fair cost of living increase!
* No raise! -COLA's are not raises. A raise is doing the same work.
* Loss of grievance/seniority/retention/transfer rights!
* Zero gains on class size reform!
* Give backs of decades of contract negotiation!
*A chunk of the cola isn't even retroactive for some teachers!

Politics or no politics Randi kissing and accepting a kiss from 2 men who have personally fostered Macciavellian treatment of NYC Teachers is inexcusable. I started teaching in 1971 and have now sadly seen, under bloomberg, teachers reduced to being treated like 7 year olds under his reign- Professional decision totally stripped.
Note that these photos a not on any UFT sponsored web site. Why? Public image wise, the body language of kissing Bloomberg is a sign of submission. Accepting a kiss from Klein makes her look like a little girl happy thst daddy is paying attention to her because the got a good grade on a quiz. A handshake would have been more than enough. This comes across as Gee, thank you for such a great deal!
Like Custer, she went right into the slaughter. They are gloating at their successful massacre of the UFT, of whick she as the primary catalyst. I think these photos make very important statements and should be widely viewed, so membership can make this Randi's "Last Stand..."
